Linda Sergeant, Founder and CEO

Linda founded Far and Away Luxury Destinations in 2005 after a successful career with a prestigious travel company.  For over thirty years she has planned and explored personally-tailored experiences for individuals seeking to immerse themselves in exotic cultures and simple escapes.
Linda's curiosity to see the world began at an early age, as a young child briefly living in Germany before transferring back to the United States.  Later, as a teen, she had the privilege of spending many summers traveling extensively throughout Italy and Switzerland.   The exposure to the antique cities and quaint villages in each country fueled Linda's passion for experiencing something new and unique with every visit and continued to excite her throughout her many journeys from the Americas, Europe, the Mediterranean and beyond.
While living in Hawaii Linda explored and studied the uniqueness of island tourism.  While traveling to the East and visiting Asia she was able to experience the cultures in several countries including Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia.
As a luxury travel specialist focusing on Honeymoon, Wellness, and Family experiences, Linda's goal is to create memories that are meaningful and everlasting for each traveler on their personal journey to experience the world!

Gina Porter, VP Travel Operations and Luxury Travel Advisor

Gina Porter has been full of wanderlust since her childhood in Mississippi. Thanks to her parents, who also taught her southern hospitality, she caught the love of adventure early on. After college, she entered the corporate world in telecommunications, but found her true passion while living in New Jersey where she met Linda and joined Far and Away. Since then, she has used her wondering spirit, southern style, and her business acumen to give clients a new experience and partnership with their travel agent.

Gina has sent her clients all over the globe while building up airlines miles herself.  A few of her own travel highlights include leading a group of women on a four day trek on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, taking her family sailing in the BVI, and celebrating her brother's 40th on a golf trip through Scotland. She travels annually to St. Barths as well as other Caribbean islands.

Gina is currently living in Dallas with her husband and three children.

Kathleen Whalen, Luxury Travel Advisor

Kathleen's interest in travel and worlds beyond her own backyard began as a teenager when she boarded a plane for her first international flight to Sweden as an exchange student. Her introduction to a new culture and land fueled the direction of her life. She went on to work for an international student exchange and au pair organization and traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and Europe for many years.  A Santa Fe, New Mexico native, Kathleen has lived in Guatemala, Shanghai, and on both coasts of the United States. She now resides in Dallas with her husband and two girls.  Kathleen continues to travel. She has recently been to Australia, Italy, Jamaica and Mexico.  Kathleen is also a docent and a wonderful cook; she often incorporates art and cuisine into her itineraries offering a deeper understanding and more meaningful experiences. She loves helping her clients discover new places.
