Linda Sergeant
Founder & Curator of Luxury Travel Experiences
Linda founded Far and Away Luxury Destinations in 2005, following a successful tenure with a distinguished global travel company. For more than twenty-five years, she has crafted bespoke travel experiences for clients seeking both immersive cultural encounters and serene, restorative escapes.
Her passion for exploring the world was sparked early in life. As the daughter of Italian immigrants, Linda spent part of her childhood in Germany before returning to the United States, and later enjoyed many summers traveling throughout Italy and Switzerland. The contrast of ancient cities, charming villages, and diverse regional traditions ignited a lifelong love of discovering the distinctive character of every destination. This enthusiasm has led her across the Americas, Europe, Africa, and far beyond.
During her time living in Hawaii, Linda studied the nuances of island tourism, further enriching her expertise. Her travels throughout Asia including India, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia deepened her appreciation for the region’s vibrant cultures and timeless traditions.
Today, as a luxury travel specialist with a focus on Honeymoon, Wellness, and Family itineraries, Linda is dedicated to designing journeys that create meaningful, lasting memories. Her mission is to ensure every traveler experiences the world in a way that feels personal, inspired, and unforgettable.
Michelle Hollander

Michelle joined in April of 2024 to expand her travel knowledge and assist Linda Sergeant in creating seamless travel itineraries for our valued Far and Away clients.
Michelle is a Certified Life Coach and an RTT 200 hour Certified Yoga Instructor.
Michelle’s experiences traveling thru Israel and Japan have helped her discover her passion for travel.

Mariposa Thomson

Mariposa’s excitement for travel developed from her appreciation of her family’s heritage. Travelling throughout Mexico as a teenager and visiting family, she was able to absorb the Mexican culture that was uniquely her own and not prevalent in the US. This stirred a curiosity in her to not only dig deeper into her own traditions and history, but ignited her desire to learn and explore other countries as well.
While in college, she was able to travel from Texas to North Dakota studying indigenous cultures. From there, she moved to Spain to experience the Spanish influences in Europe. After Spain she moved to Scotland and traveled throughout the UK. Upon returning to Texas, her home state, Mariposa began traveling as often as possible to experience new opportunities in Canada, Brazil, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, and the Caribbean. Enjoying what each new destination has to offer; soaking up as many travel experiences as possible.
Looking for an opportunity to share her love of travel with others, she found her way into the travel industry. Linda was able to provide her the resources to create memories and unforgettable travel itineraries for her clients in Texas and beyond. Mariposa is excited to join the Far and Away team and continues to show the world to her young son, her ambassador of all things kid-worthy!

Kelly’s love for travel was sparked in her California childhood, where family road trips to breathtaking national parks and magical Disney adventures ignited a passion for discovery and wonder. Her journey continued abroad during her college years in Italy, where life along the stunning Cinque Terre coastline expanded her perspective and deepened her appreciation for European elegance. This passion only grew with memorable travels through Paris, London, and the French Riviera.
Married to a professional baseball player, Kelly embraced a life filled with adventure—crafting rich, immersive itineraries around games and exploring the world through diverse cultures, including unforgettable experiences in Japan.
As a devoted mother of three boys and a dog lover, Kelly brings heart and intention to every family-focused itinerary she designs. Drawing from her experience as a Disneyland cast member, she seamlessly weaves luxury with Disney magic, creating unforgettable getaways for families of all kinds.
With proud Norwegian and German roots and a deep enthusiasm for meaningful travel, Kelly is driven to share the transformative power of exploration.
